Legendary developer Bruce Ratner has been the catalyst behind some of New York City’s largest commercial and residential projects. In this episode Bruce shares how he got started in the commercial real estate business and his secret to success. Since co-founding Forest City Ratner Company in 1985, Bruce’s firm has built around 50 ground-up projects in New York City, including the New York Times building, the 16-acre Metro Tech office complex, a Frank Gehry apartment tower, the Barclays Center arena and Pacific Park Brooklyn, a four-million-square-foot mixed-use development. Until recently, Bruce was an owner of the Brooklyn Nets and on top of all his business achievements he is also chairman of the Museum of Jewish Heritage and on the board of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medicine.
